Formed in 1971, Freetime are a powerhouse of traditional jazz, blending deep respect for the old style with their own unmistakable “Freetime” sound. Longtime stalwarts of the Haarlem Jazz Club scene, the Freetime Old Dixie Jass Band are known for their explosive energy, roaring brass, and irresistible swing. Led by trombonist and arranger Rob Vlam, the band features brothers Jaap and Rob de Wit, whose 50-year musical partnership brings both fire and feeling to the stage. Whether touring towns or lighting up jazz clubs, Freetime deliver joyful, hard-driving jazz that never stands still.
